Is it possible to integrate a chatbot into kakaotalk?

Sorry that this is written in English as I am not native korean.

From this article Is it possible to integrate KakaoTalk with Intercom? it says we can build business channels chatbot to provide smart automated conversations with users.

I am trying to find out how we can achieve this as a communications platform like Intercom.

  1. it mentions we can only developer the connection for business to automate conversation chatbot with users via official dealers - does it mean we have to reach to one of the dealers under Chat Counselling 카카오비즈니스 to get the webhooks and permissions to respond to user messages? Is this the one way to integrate a customer service chatbot system?

  2. Are there any other ways we can build a Proof of Concept to showcase a demo on a kakao channel? I read about upgrade to a KakaoTalk Business Account - can I do this to receive user’s incoming messages via webhook and respond back to users? Or must option (1) above is still a mandatory step?

KakaoTalk messages are private messages between individuals and, for privacy protection, are not integrated with other services.
As an alternative, there is Biz Message, which allows communication with customers through a business channel.
To integrate this, you can use Consultation Talk (상담톡), which is available through contracts with authorized partners (dealers).

Thank you for the prompt response - i just submitted the form but I believe I got an email almost immediately redirecting me to another portal. Can you help if this is expected? or will someone process the application form after some time? The dealership form you shared says it may take a while since it is processed in batch.
