휴면 계정 정책 폐지 : 1년간 카카오계정에 로그인하지 않아도 시행일 이후부터는 휴면 계정으로 전환되지 않습니다.

장기 미사용 탈퇴 기준 변경 : 카카오계정 및 연결된 모든 서비스에서 3년간 로그인 이력이 없을 경우 계정 탈퇴 처리됩니다. 단, 시행일 이전에 휴면 상태인 계정은 아래 정책이 적용됩니다.
- 휴면 상태를 해제한 경우: 3년간 계정 미사용 시 탈퇴 처리(변경된 정책 적용)
- 휴면 상태를 해제하지 않은 경우: 휴면 시작 시점부터 4년 뒤 계정 탈퇴 처리(기존 정책 적용)

장기 미사용으로 인한 탈퇴 시 소유 또는 참여 중인 앱
- 앱을 소유한 카카오계정(Owner인 멤버)이 장기 미사용으로 탈퇴된 경우 앱을 더 이상 관리할 수 없으며, 고객센터로 Owner 변경을 요청해야 합니다.
- 카카오 고객센터 > 카카오싱크 > 문의하기로 요청(문의 분류: 카카오싱크 관리 > 앱의 오너 변경)
- 앱에 참여 중인 카카오계정(Editor, Message Editor 또는 Viewer인 멤버)은 앱의 멤버에서 제외됩니다.
카카오 로그인을 사용 중인 서비스 앱
- 서비스에 카카오 로그인으로 가입한 회원의 카카오계정이 탈퇴된 경우, 해당 계정으로는 더 이상 서비스를 이용할 수 없습니다.
- 카카오계정 탈퇴로 인해 로그인 문제가 발생한 회원의 CS 문의 시, 서비스는 관련 법령 및 내부 정책에 따라 사용자 데이터 처리 또는 계정 복구 등을 직접 안내하고 처리해야 합니다.
필요 조치 사항
- 앱을 소유한 카카오계정(Owner인 멤버) 경우, 3년 내 1회 이상 로그인해 계정이 탈퇴되지 않도록 합니다.
- 앱을 소유한 카카오계정이 장기 미사용 상태일 경우, 미리 Owner 권한을 사용 중인 다른 카카오계정으로 이관합니다.
- 유료 API를 사용 중인 경우, 연결된 비즈월렛에 등록된 자동 결제 카드가 장기 미사용으로 인해 삭제되지 않도록 주의합니다.
- 카카오디벨로퍼스에서 제공하는 모든 기능은 카카오계정 단위로 연결되어 있으므로, 계정 탈퇴 전 반드시 기능의 연동 상태를 점검합니다.

We would like to inform you about changes to the Kakao Account long-term inactivity policy and the impact on Kakao Developers users, along with necessary actions required. Please review the information below for your service operations.
Kakao Account Policy Changes
Details
- Dormant Account Policy Abolished: Starting from the effective date, accounts will no longer be converted to dormant status even if there is no login to the Kakao Account for 1 year.
- Long-Term Inactivity Deletion Criteria Revised: Accounts with no login history across the Kakao Account and all connected services for 3 years will be deleted. However, accounts that come in dormant status before the effective date, will be subject to the following policies:
- If dormant status is released: Account deletion after 3 years of inactivity (revised policy applies)
- If dormant status is not released: Account deletion 4 years from the start of dormancy (existing policy applies)

Impact on Kakao Developers Users
Apps Owned or Participated in Upon Deletion Due to Long-Term Inactivity
- If a Kakao Account that owns an app (Owner member) is deleted due to long-term inactivity, the app can no longer be managed, and an Owner change must be requested through the Customer Center.
- Request via Kakao Customer Center > Kakao Sync > Inquiry (Inquiry category: Kakao Sync Management > App Owner Change)
- Kakao Accounts participating in an app (Editor, Message Editor, or Viewer members) will be removed from the app’s member list.
Service Apps Using Kakao Login
- If the Kakao Account of a member who signed up for a service using Kakao Login is deleted, that account can no longer access the service.
- When members experiencing login issues due to Kakao Account deletion submit CS inquiries, services must directly guide and handle user data processing or account recovery according to relevant laws and internal policies.
Required Actions
- If you own an app (Owner member), ensure at least one login within 3 years to prevent account deletion.
- If the Kakao Account that owns an app is in a long-term inactive state, transfer Owner permissions to another active Kakao Account in advance.
- If you are using Paid APIs, be careful to ensure that the auto-payment card registered to the connected BizWallet is not deleted due to long-term inactivity.
- Since all features provided by Kakao Developers are linked at the Kakao Account level, be sure to check the integration status of features before account deletion.
