Inquiry on Kakao Account Verification for Overseas Developers

Hi Kakao Team,

I work for Adverity GmbH, a company based in Austria. Many of our clients are agencies with advertisers who would like to retrieve ad performance metrics via the Kakao Moments API.

So far, I have:

  1. Registered our application.
  2. Converted the app into a Biz app using our Austrian business registration.

The next step—requesting additional permissions for the API—requires Kakao Account verification. However, the process seems to require a Korean mobile number and registration number, which we do not have as a non-Korean company.

My question is:

  • Is there a way for overseas developers or businesses to verify their Kakao Account in order to request additional permissions?
  • Since the platform already supports overseas business verification, is there an alternative verification process for Kakao Accounts in this context?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

For overseas companies, the Kakao Account verification step may be waived; however, moment API usage permissions can only be granted to Biz app IDs that have a Korean business registration number.
Therefore, we regret to inform you that there is currently no way to support API usage for overseas companies. We apologize for not being able to assist further.
