Hello,
We would like to use the KakaoTalk API to send and receive messages. We are wondering if there is a webhook feature similar to Facebook or LINE that allows us to receive messages. Alternatively, is there any other API method that can be used to receive messages sent by users? If such a feature exists, could you please let us know where it can be configured?
Hello,
If you have a KakaoTalk channel, you can integrate user messages with your service’s API through the “상담톡” feature.
Consultation Talk is provided through official dealers.

Hello, I didn’t quite understand. I would like to ask if KakaoTalk Channels have supported APIs for sending messages and receiving messages?
Yes, we support this. However, such APIs are not provided directly and are available only through official dealers.
The service is available for the following types:
- One-way messages from the KakaoTalk channel to users: Provided through the “알림톡(Notification Talk)” product. This allows sending informational messages only when you know the user’s phone number.
- Two-way messaging between users and the channel: Provided through the “상담톡(Consultation Talk)” product. Two-way messaging is possible only when the user initiates the conversation by sending a message to the channel.
Additionally, you can configure a chatbot for the channel to respond to user inquiries.
Two-way messaging between users and the channel
Hello, which specific distributor should I contact to obtain the API documentation for two-way messaging?
I would like to ask if the distributors you provide all support two-way messaging capabilities?
Please describe the user experience you are aiming for in detail.
Two-way messaging through “Consultation Talk(상담톡)” is intended to integrate your customer support center with your KakaoTalk channel.
