2022년 6월 20일자로 아래와 같이 카카오디벨로퍼스 서비스 약관 및 운영정책이 개정되어 사전 안내 드립니다.
상세한 주요 개정 내용은 아래와 같습니다.

제18조 책임제한
① 카카오는 천재지변, 디도스(DDOS) 공격, IDC장애, 기간통신사업자의 회선 장애 또는 이에 준하는 불가항력으로 인하여 서비스를 제공할 수 없는 경우에는 서비스 제공에 관한 책임을 부담하지 않습니다. ② 카카오는 회원의 귀책사유로 인한 서비스 이용의 장애에 대하여는 책임을 부담하지 않습니다. |
제18조 책임제한 ① 카카오는 카카오의 귀책사유가 아닌 회원 등 제3자의 귀책사유로 인한 서비스 이용의 장애 및 회원에게 발생한 손해에 대하여는 책임을 부담하지 않습니다. 이러한 손해에는 다음 각호의 손해들이 포함되며 이에 한하지 않습니다. 1. 천재지변, 디도스(DDOS) 공격, IDC장애, 기간통신사업자의 회선 장애 또는 이에 준하는 불가항력으로 인하여 카카오가 서비스를 제공할 수 없음으로 인해 발생한 손해 2. 회원의 귀책사유로 서비스 이용에 장애가 발생한 경우 3. 서비스에 접속 또는 이용과정에서 발생하는 개인적인 손해 4. 제3자가 불법적으로 카카오의 서버에 접속하거나 서버를 이용함으로써 발생하는 손해 5. 제3자가 카카오 서버에 대한 전송 또는 카카오 서버로부터의 전송을 방해함으로써 발생하는 손해 6. 제3자가 악성 프로그램을 전송 또는 유포함으로써 발생하는 손해 7. 전송된 데이터의 생략, 누락, 파괴 등으로 발생한 손해, 명예훼손 등 제3자가 서비스를 이용하는 과정에서 발생된 손해 8. 회원이 관계법령, 본 약관, 운영정책, 이용안내, 기술 설명서, 개발 가이드 및 카카오가 공지하거나 통지한 사항을 준수하지 않아 발생한 손해 9. 기타 카카오의 고의 또는 과실이 없는 사유로 인해 발생한 손해 ② 회사는 법률상 허용되는 한도 내에서 간접 손해, 특별 손해, 결과적 손해, 징계적 손해 및 징벌적 손해에 대한 책임을 부담하지 않습니다. |

운영정책 변경 취지
최근 가상자산에 대한 사회적 관심이 높아짐에 따라 심스와핑, 보이스 피싱 등 가상자산 서비스에 대한 해킹 시도가 발생하고 있으며, 이로 인한 일반 사용자들의 피해가 증가하고 있습니다.
카카오는 일부 가상자산 관련 서비스에서 발생하는 보안 사고로 인해 사용자들의 카카오계정 또한 공격의 대상이 되어 피해를 끼칠 수 있다는 점을 깊이 우려하여 선제적인 조치로 가상자산 업종 대상으로 카카오 로그인 API를 비롯한 API 이용을 제한하고자 합니다.
1. 변경시기
변경된 운영정책 및 서비스 약관은 2022년 6월 20일부로 효력이 발생됩니다.
2. 문의 및 동의 철회
변경된 운영 정책 및 서비스 약관의 내용에 동의하지 않으시는 경우, 서비스 탈퇴를 요청하실 수 있습니다.
변경사항에 대한 공지, 고지일로부터 개정약관 시행일 7일 후까지 거부의사를 표시하지 아니하면 본 변경 약관에 승인한 것으로 보고 변경된 이용약관이 적용됩니다.

Article 18. Limitations in Liabilities ① Kakao shall be exempt from any responsibilities related to the provision of the Service if Kakao is unable to provide the Service due to natural disasters, DDOS attacks, IDC failures, telecommunication service provider circuit failures or other force majeure. ② Kakao shall not be responsible for failures that occur due to reasons that are attributable to the Member during the use of the Service. |
Article 18. Limitations in Liabilities ① Kakao shall not be responsible for any failures that occur during the use of the Service, or damages inflicted to the Member, that occur due to reasons that are not attributable to Kakao, but result from reasons that are attributable to the Member or other third party. Damages include, but are not limited to, the following. 1. Damages that occur due to Kakao's inability to provide Services due to natural disasters, DDOS attacks, IDC failures, telecommunication service provider circuit failures or other force majeure 2. Failures that occur due to reasons that are attributable to the Member during the use of the Service 3. Personal damage that occur while accessing or using the Service 4. Damages that occur due to a third party's illegal access to, or use of, Kakao's server 5. Damages that occur due to a third party's interference with transmission to and from Kakao's server 6. Damages that occur due to a third party's transmission or distribution of malicious programs 7. Damages that occur due to intentional or unintentional omission and destruction of transmitted data, and damages that occur while a third party uses the Service, including defamation 8. Damages that occur due to the Member's failure to abide by related regulations, this Terms of Service, Operation Policy, user guide, technical documents, developers guide and other information notified or announced by Kakao 9. Other damages that occur due to reasons that are not intended by, or attributed to Kakao ② Kakao shall not be responsible for indirect damages, special damages, consequential damages, or exemplary and/or punitive damages, to the extent such damages are allowed by law. |

Purpose of change in Operating Policy
As social interest in virtual assets has increased recently, the more hacking attempts have been made on virtual asset services such as swapping and voice phishing, and the more users also get attacked.
We, Kakao, are deeply concerned that users’ Kakao Accounts may also be attacked due to security incidents in some virtual asset-related services. Thus, we decide to put a limit on the usage of Kakao APIs such as Kakao Login API for virtual asset-related services.
1. Date of Revision
The revised Operating Policy and Terms of Service shall take effect as of June 20, 2022.
2. Inquiry and Withdrawal of Consent
If you do not agree to the revised Operating Policy and Terms of Service, you can request to delete your Kakao Developer’s account.
If you indicate no intention to reject the revision from the date of notification/notice until seven(7) days after the effective date of the revised terms and policy, it shall be deemed that you have approved the revision and the revised operating policy shall thereby be applied.
